Filming Schedule
This is the filming schedule that myself, Kaan and Jack have created and will aim to stick to throughout the next month or so. This is obviously subject to a change of plans with a member/s of the group, transport links and the weather since our music video requires cloudy forecasts and if say it was raining heavily that day we will be unable to film and will have to reschedule. This is for the week beginning the 15th January and this is subject to possible changes that might occur.

Roles
Myself, Jack and Kaan sat down an discussed the roles we will uptake in the production and planning of our music video. Firstly, we have decided that I am going to be the cameraman and the cinematographer. We felt as if this was the best role to assign to me as I feel more comfortable in this role because I have previous experience in this role from last year. In addition to this Kaan has been assigned the role of editor and director and much like me, Kaan has previous experience in this role from last year and enjoys editing and does it in his free time. Finally, the role we assigned Jack, we have given him the role of choosing and bringing the costume, props and choosing the settings. We felt as if Jack could choose appropriate locations to shoot as he has good knowledge of Camden and also he has the appropriate costumes already that our character wears.
Artist Background
DAZE
The name of our artist is DAZE and his real name has not yet been revealed by the artist. He is 16 years old and is from South East London and still attends secondary school.
He has always had a deep passion for music and has and still does write lyrics at home in his room and during break, lunch and lessons at school. He has always had aspirations to become a musician and write his own music. After he had produced a few songs he put together an EP and go round shops truing to promote his EP and sell it to shops in order to develop his reputation.
Despite pushing his music career forward and trying to sell his music to stores, he is a very shy character and is also quite mysterious, an example of this is the fact he has not revealed his name. He has hardly any friends at school and is very much so trying t0 find his place in the world. His core belief is that nothing is perfect and everyone and everything has its imperfections.

Lyric Analysis
In the lesson, myself and Jack printed out the lyrics to our song, Heathens, and annotated them and put what shots we will have and what the shots will include. This was a good task as myself and Jack worked well together and both agreed on all of the shots and types of shots we are including in the video. We got this sheet scanned and now are looking to use this sheet in order to help us start the storyboarding process.

Our Font
The font we have chosen to use is Hand Shop Typography C30 by Fontscafe.com as it keeps the line through the Z, which was an integral part of our original design, and it is quite an edgy font which represents the genre of music our song is and our artist's personality.
Choosing New Font
As a result of our pitch, our original logo received negative feedback so we have decided to change the logo, but we will be keeping the same colour (purple). These are the logos we have chosen to be our final logo. We feel as if all of these logos represent the genre of music we have chosen and the personality of our artist.
Pitch Feedback
Myself, Kaan and Jack presented our pitch and idea to our classmates and received very useful feedback which we will try to use and take on board in order to make our artist and brand better.

Song Choice
The song myself, Kaan and Jack have chosen to use in our music video is 'Heathens' by Twenty One Pilots. The genre of the song is rap rock and alternative/indie and it was released in 2016 as part of the soundtrack for the film Suicide Squad. We felt as if this song was suitable because it is a song our artist would enjoy and create and also the three of us really enjoy the song so we already have a connection with the song and portray this effectively within the music video.

Mood Board
Mood Board
This is the mood board myself, Kaan and Jack made in our media lessons. The mood we was trying to emulate the mood of our song, which is an indie/alternative song with a dark and edgy theme and we tried to do this on our board by using a black card, and through the pictures we used. We also put on the lyrics of the song and used some of the locations we plan to use in our video.

Planning Our Music Video
Discussions
Myself, Kaan and Jack started to discuss what song we were going to use in the music video, the name of the artist and possible locations for where we would film. Firstly, we originally thought of using a Logic song, 1-800, which talks about mental illness but unfortunately this was a quite recent song and it had a music video so we could not use this song. We then changed style and decided to go with 'Heathens' by twenty one pilots and the tone and genre of this song helped us plan where to shoot the majority of our music video. The tone of the music video would be quite edgy and we would film in dark locations, such as tunnels, tube stations and alleyways. We also decided that I would perform in the music video. At the end of this lesson we started to make our mood boards. This featured the locations we would use, the name of the artist, which we decided to call 'Daze', and the type of clothing he would wear.Story of our Artist
Daze
Myself, Kaan and Jack sat down to discuss the origin and background of our artist who will feature in our music video, Daze. The background we decided to give our artist was that he is a young boy from South East London who had always had a passion for music since he was young. During his school life he was never popular and didn't really get on with people at all and isolated himself. He had always had an interest in singing but never really told anyone about it, even his parents. He would record his own singles and then put them onto CD's and go around places such as Camden and Central London handing his CD's out to independent music stores trying to promote himself. He originally called himself 'Dizzy' as referring to his state in life, not sure where he is going or what he wants to do and had no real control of his destiny. After some feedback from people in the music stores someone suggested the name 'Daze' and he has stuck with that. One of his singles did very well in music stores and got some attention online and now he is releasing the follow up single 'Heathens'. He is an signed to an independent music label called 'Dirty Hit', artists also signed to this include the 1975.
